Painting...
Is your property looking a little run down or worse for wear? Sometimes all it takes is a coat of paint to make the world of difference...
With over 25 years of painting experience, Brian Glass will personally take care of all your painting requirements. Whether you want just one wall painted, or a complete interior & exterior revamp, you deserve quality workmanship and product, and should expect nothing less. A professional painter should adhere to the following standards ... we do!!
- Works quickly & efficiently (doesn't stretch out the job to cost you more)
- Does a quality job (isn't careless or hasty)
- Prepares all surfaces thoroughly (problems aren't just covered up)
- Offers expert advice when choosing colours & schemes
- Takes control so you can sit back & relax, knowing the job will be done
- Leaves your property clean & tidy
- Charges a fair price with no hidden costs/extras
- Advises of any problems that may arise during the job
- Takes pride in their work, as they are in business for the long haul (Word-of-mouth is the best advertising)
PROCESS
The following process will be followed for all paint jobs, both interior & exterior:
- Furniture, floors, landscaping, paths, etc, to be protected by drop sheets/plastic where necessary
- Surfaces to be painted to be cleaned, when required, to remove surface impurities, such as grease, mould/mildew, dirt, etc
- Any marks that could potentially 'bleed through' new paintwork to be primed/sealed (if unable to be removed by cleaning)
- Loose paint, caulking, nails, hooks, etc to be removed/repaired
- Holes, gaps, cracks, etc, to be filled, sanded and primed/undercoated
- Glossy/High sheen paintwork to be sanded and primed/undercoated where necessary
- (The above steps ensure correct adhesion of paint)
- All work to be carried out professionally and as per quote provided, by safety-conscious tradesmen
- Work area to be left clean and tidy at the end of each day
- Waste paints, materials, etc, to be removed at the end of the project
- If requested, extra paint to be labelled and left for future touch ups
PRODUCTS
All products used by Bricote Painting are of a high quality. We don't believe in buying the cheapest, as this doesn't give a quality job. Instead, we have tried and tested products over the course of the last decade to find the best combination of quality and affordability. We have confidence in the products we use.
Preparation: Only high quality products are used for preparing surfaces and areas for painting. From filler to undercoats, and specialist products for specialist applications (such as timber repairs), we stand behind the products and systems we use. Preferred Brand Names include: Resene, Selleys, GIB, Zinsser, Repair Care.
Equipment: Again, only quality paint brushes, rollers, etc, are used. Cheap brushes often leave bristles in paintwork, and cheap rollers leave behind 'fluff', both of which can ruin the finish of a job, even if quality preparation & paint is used. Choosing the best grit sandpaper, the right brush, and the correct size & thickness of roller, all ensure the best finish possible on all paintwork, and a quality job.
